It's 4:15 and I'm up.  My first cup of coffee is on the desk within easy reach.  The cat is meowing outside my office door.  I've tried to let him out 3 times, but he'd prefer to stay close by and make noise.  He's pissed off this morning.  We ran out of cat food last night, and he's letting me know that he finds that unacceptable.   In about 10 seconds he's going to get tossed onto the porch.

A noisy cat won't ruin my mood this morning.  It's going to be a good day.  In about an hour I'll be outside running.  I plan to do 8 miles today.  The weather looks to be perfect for a run.  It's cool (about 58° F) and the air seems dry.  The sky is already starting to lighten.

Later this morning, I'll be picking up Michelle's new car from the Honda dealer in Hyannis.

Between a planned run, a new car, and the fact that I finished the consulting project last night, I'm feeling fantastic this morning.

4:20 update:  the cat has been tossed onto the porch.
