Tomorrow starts week(-3) … 3 more weeks until my official training for the Cape Cod Marathon begins.

Some of the highlights from the week:

  • Monday morning – spending my day off doing speed work @ BHS w/ Keith and Rick
    • Monday was a day off from work (memorial day) as well as a planned day off from running.
  • Tuesday – taking an official day off from running
  • Wednesday – double running day – 4 in the morning and 9 @ night
  • Thursday – another day off to rest the weary legs
  • Friday – 7.5 down to Loop Beach … humidity was like a blanket
  • Saturday – an easy 5 made more interesting by Moe – a black lab who decided to run 3.5 w/ me
  • Sunday – Hyannisport … it's 7 hours later and I'm still tired

I've now had successive 40+ mile weeks.  One of my goals was to get my average weekly output to 50 miles.  I'm going to try and maintain 43 for this coming week, and then increase to 45 the following .. we'll see.
